The following are the eight most common cases.

  1. failure to pay or delinquency in payment of pension or social insurance premiums
  2. applying for a dependent family member who does not live in Japan in order to evade taxes. 3.
  3. have been abroad on business or stationed in Japan for a long period of time.
  4. has had the 10-year count reset in the past due to a change of visa status to a temporary visitor visa, etc.
  5. low annual household income
  6. worked more than 28 hours per week while an international student
  7. frequent violations of traffic rules.
  8. poor writing skills in Japanese and insufficient substantiation.
