According to the released documents, those whose current status of residence has expired can, in principle, apply for permission to change their status of residence to "Designated Activities (6 months, work permitted)". If you wish to work in a specific industrial field (14 fields including nursing care, agriculture, etc.), you can also apply for a change of status to "Designated Activities (1 year, work permitted)".

In addition, for those applying for refugee status, the examination will be carried out immediately. If refugee status is recognized, refugee status will be granted appropriately, and even if refugee status is not recognized, residence and employment will be allowed as emergency evacuation measures as above.

The documents required for application are also available on the website mentioned above. The situation in Myanmar remains severe and there are concerns that the situation may continue in the near future. If the situation does not improve, you can apply for renewal.
