The Diversity Immigrant Visa Program is a program that issues U.S. permanent residence visas ("Green Cards") to randomly selected individuals from qualified applicants once a year. Though you must renew your card every 10 years, once you obtain the Green Card, you can live and work in the U.S. without any restrictions.
