Points to note about changing visas for highly-skilled foreign professionals changing jobs
If you are a highly-skilled foreign professionals, the organizations where you are allowed to work are specified in the designation document attached to your passport. If you are changing jobs, you need to apply for a change of status of residence to the immigration office in your area with the same documents as when you first applied to obtain High Specialist 1. This is not an application for renewal.
In other words, you can work at your new employer after you have applied for and received permission to change your status of residence.
In addition to your graduation certificate and other official documents, you will need to attach other documents to make your points prima facie, as well as collect various documents from the company you are changing jobs with.
If you have never applied by yourself, or if you are busy with your own projects or work, hiring a specialist can save you from having to go to the immigration office yourself and further increase your chances of approval.
Highly-skilled foreign professionals visa holder, you are not free to change jobs!
You are a high-level person who currently holds a highly-skilled foreign professionals visa. However, you need to be very careful when changing jobs with a highly-skilled foreign professionals visa.
The reason for this is that the highly-skilled foreign professionals visa is tied to one company, so if you change jobs to another company, you must apply for a visa change (from "highly-skilled professional" to "highly specialized") before changing jobs and work only after receiving permission.
As you probably know as a highly-skilled foreign professionals visa holder, you have a "designation" stapled to your passport. You can only work for the company listed on the "Designation" in your passport with your current highly-skilled foreign professionals visa, so although it may be a hassle, you must apply for a visa change (change of status of residence) and obtain permission before changing jobs.
Sometimes we received inqury by people who say that they can apply for a change of highly-skilled foreign professionals visa after they change jobs and start working, but this is definitely not recommended because it requires falsifying the application form and intentionally changing the date of entry into the company in the company documents. It also increases the possibility that later when applying for a permanent residence permit, there will be discrepancies in the employee pension and other documents and the application will be disapproved.
Please be very careful as this will have a very significant impact on your future permanent residence application. If you are concerned about your own application, please contact us.
