Hello, this is Tomita of IMS.

In the last blog post, I explained how to prepare for the submission of documents related to pensions when applying for permanent residency by explaining how to check the status of your pension on Nenkin Net and check whether the period in which one had a pension plan is included in the years for which one has to submit pension-related documents.

Today, I will be continuing with the same topic.

■If you have never been a member of the National Pension System:

You can simply print out a copy of the “Monthly Payment Status” on Nenkin Net.

■If you have ever been a member of the National Pension System:

If you have been a member of the National Pension System for even one month during the requested period, submit a copy of your National Pension premium receipt.

For example, if you are required to submit documents for the last two years, and you have been a member of the National Pension System for all two years, please submit the premium receipts for the two years.

If you have been a member of the National Pension System for only two months out of two years, please submit two months' worth of receipts.

The reason why we need a copy of your receipt is to confirm that you paid your premiums at the correct time.

If you are using direct deposit, please submit a copy of your bankbook showing the date of the transfer.

If you are unable to provide either a copy of the receipts or a copy of the bankbook, please prepare a document explaining why you are unable to provide them.

If you have been on the National Pension System for the entire requested period, you only need receipts.

If you were a member of both the National Pension Plan and the Employees' Pension Plan, please submit the "Monthly Payment Status" from Nenkin Net in addition to the receipt.
